Testing Services at The University of Central Oklahoma is a national test site for the College Board programs. Study Guides for the exams are available at www.collegeboard.com/CLEP. You can access DSST information at www.getcollegecredit.com.
Extra-institutional examinations are only available for undergraduate credit. Credit earned by examination will not appear on the transcript until the student has successfully completed twelve or more semester credit hours of academic work at UCO. Credit will be recorded with a neutral grade of P (pass) if the student earns a passing score. No grade is recorded if the student fails the exam. A failed test may be repeated after six months has elapsed. A student may not test out of a course in which s/he is currently enrolled. Exams are administered at the Testing Center by appointment, and are transferable to other institutions that accept them. The fee to take a CLEP test is $103-- $23 to UCO, and $80 (credit card or money order) to CLEP. An additional $18 may be added if an essay is required. The administration fee to UCO is not refundable.
Some tests require essays and time limits vary. Appointments are required. Tests are scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
