Scheduling an Appointment for Counseling
Students who wish to come to the SCC for counseling can call (974-2215) or stop by the SCC (click here for a location map) to schedule an intake appointment.
SCC counselors work to assure that students are assigned to groups that fit them well. Most groups at the SCC generally consist of 4 - 8 students. While some groups last less than five weeks, some last for the duration of the semester. If you are interested in joining a group, you will meet first with an SCC counselor. This ensures that students are placed in groups that are right for them and that everyone in the group is aware of the need for privacy for all members. Counselors also provide information about what will happen in the group and will answer any questions you have about group membership.
