General Application Checklist
Graduate International Application Form
We prefer you apply online to UCO.
If you do not wish to apply online, you may download and print the paper application form below:
Official or Certified Copy of Academic Credentials
Official or certified copies of your bachelor's degree including transcript/grade reports and graduation certificate.
If you are a senior undergraduate student who is schedule to complete your bachelor's degree, please submit the official or certified transcript for up to the 3rd year of your studies. Please include a letter of verification to certify that you are scheduled to complete your bachelor's degree.
Proof of English Proficiency
If English is not your native language, please submit one of the following:
- TOEFL - 79 IBT (Internet-based test) or 550 PBT (paper-based test) ; or
- IELTS - 6.5 overall band; or
- Proof of 12 weeks of intensive English study at an approved ESL program in the U.S. after achieving minimum TOEFL score of 500 (PBT) or 61 (IBT) or minimum IELTS overall band of 6.0

Official GMAT or GRE score report

The letters must be submitted by former instructors, employers, or other professionals who can evaluate the applicant's potential to succeed in graduate school (you may print recommendation forms from www.uco.edu/graduate/)
Proof of Financial Support
You must submit evidence as to your source of financial ability to cover at least the educational costs of 2 semesters - Fall and Spring (for student alone-$19,400; for spouse-add $6,000; for each child-add $4,000). Therefore, Certificate of Financial Resources (below) and an official or certified copy of bank statement are required before the SEVIS I-20 is issued
Statement of Understanding
Read and understand all admission and enrollment requirements. Sign and submit with the application.
Application Fee of $50.00
- there are three options to pay the fee:
1. Credit card - through online application process or by submitting the authorization form.
2. Bank draft or money order - please made the check payable to University of Central
Oklahoma.
3. Cash - strongly recommended only if you are paying in person.
International Express Mailing Charge of $50.00 (optional)
FEDEX or DHL Express mail deliver in 3 to 5 business days while regular airmail may take up to 5 weeks for delivery. You can submit the payment by cash, bank draft, money order or by credit card.
Passport Photo Page
Submit only a copy of the passport photo page, if available which has your personal information and photo.
Audition DVD/CD or Design Portfolio
(Only applicable to Dance, Music or Design applicants). Please visit the College of Fine Arts and Design for more information.

TRANSFER STUDENTS from other US Institutions
In addition to the requirements above, you are required to submit all of the following:
SEVIS Transfer Form
Both you and your current International Office will be required to complete this form and submit to UCO International Office.
SEVIS I-20
Copy of all your previous SEVIS I-20(s) that you have received.
I-94 and Visa Stamp
Copy of your current I-94 card as well as the visa stamp in your passport.

*Important Note:
- UCO will accept applicants on a rolling admission basis.
- Apply early: Early application gives the JCGS and OIS more time to work with you if you have not submitted all the proper documents. It also gives you more time to secure a student visa, to make travel arrangements, and to apply for on-campus housing before coming to UCO.
- There are certain programs which set their own application deadlines. Please refer to the program sheet on the UCO Graduate Catalog for details.

Graduate VISITING OR EXCHANGE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (J-1 VISA)
If your current university or college has a visiting student or exchange student agreement with UCO, you have come to the right place that will help you with your application for admission into the program. You will be considered as a non-degree seeking student to UCO.

Proof of Financial Support

Submit official transcript from your current institution
in English only. If you are seeking to take upper level courses at UCO that requires pre-requisites courses, you are required the syllabus/course descriptions to show proof of the pre-requisite courses you have completed.

Proof of Medical Insurance
Program participants and their dependents are required to have medical insurance coverage with the following minimum benefits:
country in the amount of $10,000
or student can opt-in to purchase UCO Health Insurance upon arrival.
