Book Your Flight
It is strongly recommended for you to arrange your flight early to not only secure a better airfare but also to find a better schedule of your choice. When you book your flight, please be sure to inform your travel agent that the final destination is Oklahoma City. The name of the airport is Will Rogers World Airport with airport code "OKC". Airport Pick-up Notification
UCO International Services office provides a free airport pickup service for all new international students only. Once you managed to confirm your flight arrangement, please complete the UCO Airport Pickup Registration located here. Below please find the free airport pick up schedule below:
Spring 2015 semester: January 5th - 11th (guaranteed pick up service regardless of your arrival time)
If you are arriving before or after these dates listed above, you may proceed to submit the Airport Pickup registration form. However, please note that the airport pickup service will NOT be guaranteed. If Office of Global Affairs would be able to find a community volunteer to meet you at the airport, you will be notified by email. Otherwise, be prepared to make your own transportation arrangement via Airport Shuttle or taxi to your final destination.
It is very important that you reserve your housing prior to departure so you will have a place to stay when you arrive to UCO.
On-Campus Housing - If you plan to live on-campus, please reserve your housing immediately by sending an email inquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please indicate that you are an international student who is seeking on-campus housing. To view on-campus housing options, as well as meal-plans, you may visit the UCO Housing website here.
Off-Campus Housing - If you plan to live off-campus, please be sure to contact the off-campus housing management or landlord directly to arrange for the move-in. If you do not have any housing reservation prior to departure, please be prepared to spend additional cost for temporary housing at the hotel near UCO campus. For a list of hotels, please click here.
The Oklahoma State Law requires all new students who attend UCO for the first time to provide proof of immunization. It is strongly recommended that you complete your immunization procedure prior to departure. If you have taken the shots since birth, you may bring the immunization form provided with the link as below to a certified medical professional to certify the immunization dates for you. If you have not received any immunization record in the past, you may plan on coming to complete your immunization shots during your first semester of studies at UCO. The good news is that your UCO Health Insurance would cover the cost for the immunization. Do note that you will NOT be able to enroll for your 2nd semester at UCO until the immunization requirement is fulfilled.
Enroll For Classes
You may begin to choose your classes once you have secured your visa and complete the immunization procedure through UConnect. By choosing classes early, you will be able to find the class and schedule of your preferences. Tuition Deposit Payment
UCO required all new international students to submit a tuition payment of $8000 to cover the tuition and fees for the first semester. If choose to live in the campus housing, please provide additional funds to cover the housing and meals as required. All the remaining balance from the tuition deposit will be use for the subsequent semester. You could submit the tuition deposit payment by using wire transfer, bank draft, money order or through credit card payment (additional fees apply). Pack Your Bags
It is never easy to know what you should and shouldn't bring when you travel to UCO for the first time. It is strongly recommended that you contact International Student Council leaders to seek their advice since they have been through what you are going through now. You may also check out some advise online at travelers point for some tips and advise. Please make sure you check with your airline for baggage allowance and guidelines. Please be reminded to carry all your important documents and cash at all times and do not put them in your check-in baggage.

First Day of Class
University of Central Oklahoma offers three different entry terms which include Fall (August), Spring (January) and Summer (June). We do encourage all new students to arrive prior to the orientation date or no later than the first day of class. First day of class can be hectic and as a result, we encourage students to arrive few days earlier to get accustomed to the new environment before class begin. Please find below the first day of class for the upcoming semesters for your reference:
Spring 2015 semester: January 12th, 2015
Summer 2015 semester: June 1st, 2015
