What is Experiential Learning?
Experiential Learning at UCO refers to activities that students participate in that allow them to apply their classroom knowledge to practical situations. These opportunities include global experiences, collaborative research, in-class projects, internships, service learning, study abroad, and volunteering. Students reflect on what they learn during these experiences, receive feedback from their supervisor or academic mentor, and record their transformative learning outcomes on their Student Transformative Learning Record (STLR). The design and oversight of these transformative experiences occur across campus and in close relationship with community partners like public school systems, non-profit organizations, and corporations.
This website links community partners to UCO's campus and connects UCO students to the myriad of opportunities available in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area and beyond. Learn more about Experiential Learning at UCO.
