Student Counseling Center
The UCO Student Counseling Center is a place where students can learn to deal with personal concerns or situations, such as initiating friendships, divorce or a break-up, anxiety, stress, depression, academic difficulties, and adjustment to college life. Services are available to currently enrolled students at the University of Central Oklahoma free of charge. The Counseling Center is located on the fourth floor of the University Center, Room 402. Student Health Center
The University of Central Oklahoma provides a Student Health Center where health services are available to all students. There are nominal fees assessed for medication, specified services, and to see the nurse practitioner or doctor. Career Services assists students and alumni with career development and employment issues. The Career Services counseling staff is available during walk-in times and by appointment to advise on such matters as selecting a major, identifying career options for particular majors, beginning a second career, and job search strategies. The UCO Testing Center is a national test center for Education Testing Services, The College Board, and the American College Testing Program. As such, it provides registration forms and administers national testing dates for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), and the Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST). Regular on-campus (residual) ACT and institutional TOEFL are also offered for prospective UCO students. The Center also administers tests for those students attempting to earn credit through Extra-institutional Examinations such as CLEP, Departmental Challenge Exams, AP, and DANTES.
