Making Experiential Research Globally Engaging (MERGE)
What is MERGE?
MERGE is an intercultural program designed sepcifically to meet faculty requests to incorporate the vast and rich collection of perspectives afforded by the international student population at UCO. International students associated with MERGE are eager to shed personal insight on their culture and are committed to spending time working on an academic project with members of a class in which they are not currently enrolled.
Through MERGE, the CGC works with UCO professors to connect MERGE students to help give information and work with other students on a specific topic regarding their particular country.
How to get involved?
We are currently accepting proposed projects from professors for the Spring 2014 semester. Once we have collected a list of all projects, we will email students who have signed up to participate. MERGE students will then apply for the project/classroom session they would most like to attend. We hope to email you the choices for Spring 2014 semester by the end of January 2014.
If you are a student who would like to be contacted when MERGE opportunities are revealed, please complete this interest form. If you are a professor who would like to participate, please contact Jared Scism directly at 405-974-2131 or by email at email@example.com.
