Chien Hsin University of Science and Technology

Chien-Hsing University was established in 1966. In 2003, the Ministry of Education approved the upgrade of this institution from college status to its current standing as a university. At present, this institution has twelve departments, including the departments of Civil Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Finance Banking, International Business, Information Management, Finance and Banking, Marketing and Distribution, Applied Foreign Languages, and Information Engineering.
Zhongli City (also Jhongli or Jungli), formerly Chungli (and spelled Tionglek or Tiongliek in the 19th century), is a city in Taoyuan County of Taiwan, Republic of China. It became a city before Taoyuan City, the county seat of Taoyuan County. Historically, the city is the stage of the Jhongli incident (中壢事件) of 1977, the most significant event of the democratization movements of Taiwan prior to the 1980s. Ethnically, it is considered a kind of capital city for the Hakka people who live in great numbers here and in surrounding areas. In recent years a large number of foreign workers (mainly from the Philippines and Thailand) have also settled in and around the city, making it a center for foreign laborers.
Also, this particular university offers the UCH Study Grant. This grant is open for UCO students who are going to study at UCH. National Taichung Institute of Technology

College of Languages includes Department of Applied Japanese (Master program of Japanese Market and Business Studies included), Department of Applied English and Department of Applied Chinese. This is to meet the College's goal of holistic education.Meanwhile students will learn to acquire the target language and build their practical business skills. The College aims to play a key role on the development of the growing industry of humanities economy in Taiwan. By implementing a practice oriented program - credits to program, program to degree; work-study applied to college program and certificate obtainment combining with curriculum design, the College wishes to cultivate students having multi-language ability, professional business skills and innovative global vision with good occupational ethics.
College of Design includes Department of Commercial Design, Multimedia Design and Interior Design (Master programs included in all of the above). Core value of the College of Design emphasizes on innovative research and design. With the focus on the integration of regional industrial development, humanity and technology, the college aims to foster professionals in cross-culture, and interdisciplinary design. Five development perspectives include: ”Sustainable design", “Life caring and Social well-fare design", " Networked and mobilized environment ", "Cultural and creative value-added design ", “ Cultivation of design practices "and other related fields.
