Pukyong National University is in the Gyeongnam area of Busan, and it has a rich 86-year history. This is a university in which passion and a pioneering spirit have overcome numerous hardships such as the loss of our nation's sovereignty and its wide-scale destruction arising from the Korean War. Pukyong National University is located in Busan, the No. 1 coastal city of Korea, and is a university with a long tradition. It was established in 1996 as the result of a merger between Busan Engineering University, which had started as Korea's first modern engineering technology secondary school in 1924, and Busan Marine University, which had been established as the first Korean marine secondary school in 1941. Pukyeong is a nice university in the heart of Busan. It is only ten minutes from the beach and is the only flat campus in Korea. The area located around Pukyeong is one of the most popular places for nightlife in Busan and is filled with young people on a nightly basis. Pukyeong also has a very friendly staff that are very personable. 

Pukyong National University, which was selected as the best innovative national university by the Korean government in 2006, is growing and developing as the most attractive national university in Korea through efficient and democratic management and an excellent administrative system.
Busan is the second largest city and the biggest trading port in Korea. It has a population of about four million. The city is not as big as Seoul, the capital of Korea, but it basically offers the same kinds of excitement and experiences you look for in tourism. Busan, however, offers much, much more because of its surroundings. Not only does it have Korea's best beaches, but also accessible and affordable sea excursions, mountain hiking, and some of the world's finest hot springs for bathing. With regard to transportation, the city offers, excellent air, ferry, bus and railway service, all of which will take you to whichever major cities you wish to visit within a matter of hours.

Here are some specifics. In Busan you will enjoy famous Haeundae Beach and fresh sea food in addition to its already famous Japanese and Chinese cuisine.The port city is also famous for its hot spring if you wish to experience the unique Korean style hot spring bathing. Furthermore, it is close to Kyongju, the ancient capital of the Shilla Dynasty/Kingdom for a thousand years. The old capital is famous it abundant cultural artifacts and heritage. In particular the Korean national treasures included on the World Heritage List of UNESCO are the eighth century Pulguksa Temple and the affiliated artificial stone grotto of Sokkuram in Kyongju and the 13th century Tripitaka Koreana scrolls preserved at Haeinsa Temple in the vicinity of Hapchon. Inje University

Inje is in the suburb of Gimhae, South Korea just outside of Busan. This is the Edmond of Busan located just 20 minutes outside the city. The campus is medium size and nestled into the mountainside. Inje offers a great Korean language program as well as students being able to take other courses in English. Busan University of Foreign Studies was founded in 1981 by the late Chung Tae-sung. His philosophy for education was that young intellectual minds must become leaders internationally. Busan University of Foreign Studies was founded as a college for studying foreign languages in April 1982 with its first students studying English, French, Japanese, Chinese, German, Indonesian, Malay, and Thai. Through the 1980s, the college expanded its programs and finally became a university in 1991. As of 2009, Busan University of Foreign Studies has academic exchange program agreements with 94 universities in 24 countries.

Busan is South Korea's second largest metropolis after Seoul, with a population of approximately 3.6 million. Although surrounded by mountains, Busan has Korea's largest beach and longest river, and is home to the world's largest department store, the Shinsegae Centum City.

The campus is located in the Yeonje-gu district of Busan Metropolitan City. Surrounded by mountains, Busan has Korea's largest beach and longest river, and is home to the world's largest department store, the Shinsegae Centum City.The university offers graduate and undergraduate programs, and enrolls 1,762 undergraduate and 565 graduate students.

The school was established shortly after national liberation, on September 2, 1946. At the time it was known as Busan Normal School (부산사범학교) and provided training for elementary-school teachers. It was expanded to cover secondary teachers in 1955, and became Busan Teachers' College. In 1961, it was reorganized and renamed as Busan National College of Education. It became a four-year college in 1981, and a university in 1993. The graduate school was established in 1996. Konkuk University,

The university emphasizes technology and science majors and research. The Seoul campus is located in the southeastern part of Seoul, near the Han River, and is served by a metro station of the same name. Konkuk University is an endowed educational institution and governed by the president and the board of Konkuk University foundation. The Seoul campus includes fifteen colleges, sixty-four departments, and eleven professional graduate schools. The Chungju campus includes five colleges, thirty-six departments. A total of 25,700 students are enrolled at these two campuses. Undergraduate programs are provided by each department of all colleges.

One of the distinctive features of the Konkuk campus is the large number of stones (about 1.5 meters by 2 meters) from many countries around the world. The main axes of the university are lined, on each side, by these stones, each of which features an inscription—often a motto, poem or quotation from a major literary work—which illustrates something important about the donating country. On the back, there is a translation into Korean, and also into English for non-English language inscriptions. To date, there are nearly 200 of these stones at Konkuk.
