As Vice President for Student Affairs, Kathryn E. Gage, Ph.D., works to provide students at the University of Central Oklahoma a transformative, opportunity-rich collegiate experience through activities and services that advance learning outside regular class time. She is the chief administrator for 16 functional areas at Central including Student Life, the Student Counseling Center, the Volunteer and Service Learning Center, International Services and Career Services.
Gage is a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, the Association for Student Conduct Administration and the American College Personnel Association. An advocate for community service, she is a gubernatorial appointee to the Oklahoma Community Service Commission. Gage serves as the Chairperson of the Council on Student Affairs through the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
Gage has presented at several national conferences, with an emphasis on the topic of collaborative programming with Academic Affairs.
Contributions to UCO include the formation of the Campus Awareness, Response and Evaluation Team, the launch of New Broncho Orientation for first-year students, and the introduction of the Student Affairs grants and giving initiative.
