Scholarships in Criminal Justice
The Sid Brown Excellence in Criminal Justice Award
Scholarship Mission: To provide a scholarship which rewards a Criminal Justice major who’s research paper is selected by the committee.
Value and Duration: The value of the scholarship will be determined by the funds available and will be disbursed in the Fall semester.
Qualifications: The scholarship is open to any student who has declared Criminal Justice as a major and who meets the following criteria:
* Must be a Criminal Justice major
* Must have a 3.5 GPA or higher
* Must be a senior or a graduate student in Criminal Justice
* Must submit a research paper with application
Requirements: The recipient is asked to write a letter of thanks to the scholarship donors. This letter must be turned in to the College of Liberal Arts Dean’s office, ATTN: Terri Winblad and must be received no later than May 1, 2013.
Scholarship Packet must contain:
- Cover sheet
- Application
- Resume
- Current transcript
- Research Paper
