Every fall semester, students and faculty are invited to share variety acts reflecting languages other than English and cultures outside of the United States. This is a casual and fun event! The Hideaway Pizza concession booth inside the Jazz Lab will be open during the event. Prizes will be awarded to the acts voted the best by our lovely panel of judges! There is no cost to participate or to attend the show, so invite your friends, family, and classmates!
If you would like to participate in the event, please pick up an application from the Department of Modern Languages (Thatcher Hall 204) or download it from the link below. The deadline to submit applications to the department is Thursday, October 22nd. Participants may sing, dance, play an instrument, perform a short skit, or perform a martial arts routine, for example. We ask that participants do not recite poems since the department has a poetry-reading contest in the spring. Performances containing religious themes, political themes, or material that could be offensive to others will not be allowed. Please keep acts under four (4) minutes and family friendly!
