Phi Alpha Theta

Rho Lambda is the University of Central Oklahoma’s chapter of the national history honor society, Phi Alpha Theta. Cultivating a tradition of excellence as citizen-scholars, students organize a variety of activities, including conference presentations, guest lecturers, movie nights, museum visits, community service projects, book sales, and more.

Tentative Events for Fall 2016:

  • September      22 – Joshua Greene, “Justice at Dachau” Lecture
  • October      7 – Monty Python Movie Night
  • November      1 – New Member Initiation
  • December      3 – End-of-Semester/Holiday Party

Events are open to all UCO students.

Membership:

Membership requirements:

Undergraduates:

  • Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours in History
  • ≥ 3.1 GPA in History courses
  • ≥ 3.0 GPA overall

Graduate students:

  • Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours toward MA degree
  • ≥ 3.5 GPA
