Phi Alpha Theta

Rho Lambda is the University of Central Oklahoma’s chapter of the national history honor society, Phi Alpha Theta. Cultivating a tradition of excellence as citizen-scholars, students organize a variety of activities including: community service, conference presentations, guest lecturers, movie nights, museum visits, paintball, and book sales.

Tentative Events for Fall 2015:

  • October 2 – Phi Alpha Theta meeting
  • October 13 – Movie Night
  • November 3 – New Member Initiation
  • December 4 – End-of-Semester/Holiday Party

Events are open to all UCO students.

Membership requirements:


  • Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours in History
  • ≥ 3.1 GPA in History courses
  • ≥ 3.0 GPA overall

Graduate students:

  • Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours toward MA degree
  • ≥ 3.5 GPA
