The University of Central Oklahoma established the criminal justice program in the state in 1974. In the fall of 2010 the School of Criminal Justice was created with the continuing objective of providing criminal justice students with a quality education and transforming academic excellence into professional success.
With twenty full and part-time faculty members, the School of Criminal Justice currently offers two undergraduate degree programs (Police and General) and a graduate degree (Master of Arts in Criminal Justice Management and Administration). The undergraduate programs prepare students for a wide range of careers in the criminal justice field. Our Masters program is designed to provide students with specialized knowledge and skills needed for career advancement. While the College of Liberal Arts and the School of Criminal Justice have developed international partnerships to provide students a unique educational opportunity, the faculty and our external advisory board meet regularly to explore current needs in the field and expand our curriculum to meet those needs. As a result new undergraduate and graduate opportunities are on the horizon.
We invite you to take advantage of the opportunities available through our curriculum, internships, and the College of Liberal Arts study abroad programs.
