Master of Arts in Crime and Intelligence Analysis

The Master of Arts in Crime and Intelligence Analyisis is a new program designed to offer students a foundation of comparative studies, statistical analysis and technological courses that have an emphasis on information/intelligence evaluation and reporting. The classes present both a theoretical and practical approach to develop general tools of research, writing and analysis. A selection of elective courses allows students to investigate particular areas of interest and the interdisciplinary nature of the electives provides additional skill sets necessary for developing a global perspective.

Required Courses

CJ Grad Eligibility

An individual who has completed a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university is eligible to seek entrance into the Crime and Intelligence Analysis master's program.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted, students must meet at least one of the following criteria.
a. A 2.75 GPA overall or 3.00 GPA in the last 60 hours attempted.
b. An index score of 5.00 or higher on the GRE using the formula: (GRE/400 + GPA for the last 60 undergraduate hours).
c. Possess a master's degree from an accredited university/ college with an overall GPA of 3.00.

Statement of Purpose

All applicants must complete a statement of purpose paper. This paper should be two pages in length, and should entail why the applicant is interested in pursuing a master's degree within the field of Criminal Justice. It is strongly suggested that the applicant use past experiences, whether it be professional or researched based.
