The Heartland eLearning Conference was first held in March of 2010 at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma. Over the past four years, the Heartland eLearning Conference provided a platform for sharing eLearning innovations, developing collaborative partnerships, and expanding our understanding of what is possible through eLearning strategies.
The Heartland eLearning Conference committee has examined feedback from past conferences, considered many future directions for the conference, and explored new ways this event can serve the eLearning community. As a result of this planning, the Heartland eLearning Conference committee made the decision to re-envision the format of the event. Therefore, the Heartland eLearning Conference will not take place in September 2014 as originally planned.
Over the coming weeks, the Center for eLearning and Continuing Education at the University of Central Oklahoma will announce details of the Heartland eLearning Institute. This unique institute will be an inspiring and practical learning event, personalized for eLearning faculty, designers, developers and leaders in higher education. The Heartland eLearning Institute will bring together innovative and inspiring perspectives on key eLearning topics in a high-impact format that allows participants to quickly and easily use new ideas and skills in their own practice. Participation in the Heartland eLearning Institute will be selective and will include an application process.
We have enjoyed developing the Heartland eLearning Conference over the last four years and thank you for your participation that made each year better than the previous year. We look forward to providing you the next generation of learning experiences for eLearning professionals through the Heartland eLearning Institute.
