A Place for Mom, Inc. – Award amount: $1,000. The scholarship is offered by A Place for Mom, Inc. and is for students interested in gerontology. The scholarship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students in a medical, nursing and social sciences related major. The applicant must be attending classes at the time of the spring deadline.

Deadline: April 15, 2016.


AAC’s Behavioral Health Academic Scholarship: American Addiction Centers, a national leader in addiction treatment, is offering $10,000 in scholarships for those majoring in behavioral health, nursing, counseling, psychology, social work, marriage/family therapy, or other program focusing on treating mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Award Amount: 1st place - $5,000; 2nd place - $2,500; 3rd place - $2,500.

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program: Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are pleased to be able to continue with our scholarship program for the 9th year. We will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year. Students will submit an essay on the topic that appears on the scholarship page of our web site.  The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post-secondary institution.

Scholarship Deadline:   June 10, 2016.

Application: We are offering a great quarterly scholarship opportunity for a student to receive $2500! Any legal U.S. resident at least eighteen (18) years old who is attending an accredited university or college is eligible to apply. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible.

 Army ROTC Scholarships:  2, 3, & 4-year scholarships are available to students enrolled in the UCO Army ROTC program. Applicants must be US citizen; be between the ages of 17 & 26; have a minimum high school or college cumulative GPA of 2.50; be enrolled in the UCO Army ROTC program; meet physical standards & agree to accept a commission in the active or reserve component of the Army. ASCO Numatics Scholarship:  Applicant must have completed their sophomore year in a bachelor’s degree program or in a graduate program,  have at least a 3.2 GPA and be majoring in Engineering, Instrumentation, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical or Automation.

Asian American Journalists Association-AAJA:  Applicant must be a full-time Asian Pacific American student pursuing a Journalism career with at least 12 hours of credit being taken during the semester.

Association of American Indian Affairs: Scholarships are open to American Indian and Alaska Native students who are ¼ Indian blood or more and are enrolled members of their tribe.

Barbara Rhomberg Excellence in Nursing Scholarship:  One time $1000 scholarship and be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: - Enrolled in a fulltime undergraduate nursing program working toward an associate or bachelor’s degree - Non-traditional student, defined as a student that did not immediately continue their education after high school (at least a 3-year gap between high school and enrollment in a college or university) Deadline: July 31st, 2015


Belltown Chiropractic: $1000 Scholarship. All applicants should fill out the scholarship application and include their full name and mailing address with their submission. Essay question required.

 Black and Lee Scholarship: Available are two $500 scholarships. Requirements include: Be between the ages of 15 and 20 on May 15th, 2014. The Ways to Watch Scholarship: This scholarship is open to current or prospective college students who are enrolled or are planning on enrolling in a college or university program. The scholarship can be applied to any accredited U.S. university. To apply for the scholarship, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident of the United States and applicant and his/her parents/legal guardians may not be an employee of any division of Deadline: December 15, 2015. Care tenders Scholarship Program: Available is one $500 scholarship. You must be attending an accredited university, college, trades, or technical school for the fall of 2016. Deadline: May 31, 2016 Application:

Cheryl Marie Bauer Memorial Scholarship: Is offering two $1,500 scholarships for the upcoming 2013-14 school year to two students reminiscent of our twenty-one year old daughter, Cheryl Bauer, and her energetic, positive outlook on life. Cheryl, a UCO student, as well as a Putnam City High School and OSU/OKC graduate, died as a result of a random workplace accident in March 2011 in Oklahoma City. The scholarships are for one year. They are to be used towards college tuition & fees, and will be paid by the Fund directly to the school. Deadline: April 30, 2015 Contact: Application:

Chicago Injury Center scholarship program:  Award scholarships in the amounts of $1,000 (1), $500 (1) and $250 (2). Applicants should submit the following via email

• A 500+ word essay describing the difficulties they have faced as a veteran, and how those difficulties have prepared them for the rigors of college

• A short biography with a recent photo

• Copy of their transcript, showing their GPA (unofficial transcripts are accepted)

• Proof of honorable discharge

College of Liberal Arts Scholarships:  The College of Liberal Arts offers a number of scholarship opportunities to students. While some scholarships are awarded to students by individual departments, there are several that are available to any student in the College of Liberal Arts.

Application: Deadline: One week prior to the start of the semester to which the funds will be applied

Comanche Nation Higher Education Program:  Applicant must be enrolled with the Comanche Tribal majoring in engineering and not funded by Tribal, PELL or other Federal Agency.

Deadline:  Fall-June 1, Spring-October 1, Summer-April 1


Creative Bioscience Scholarship:  For students in the Health, Biology, Science, or other related study fields.  The Fitness Scholarship is designed to encourage and promote a healthier lifestyle and to help college students learn about healthy eating habits.  A scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded once per year in January following the deadline. Deadline: You must complete your application by November 1 of the preceding year for the January award Application: - Scholarship Program:  3 Separate Winners ranging from $500 to $3,000 for scholarship. Any current, full-time, student of an accredited US university or college with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 is welcome to apply. There is no age requirement.

 Custom Made Scholarship: $1000 essay-based scholarships. Awards focus on the relationship between customers and makers, and the value of traditional trades and crafts.

DAZ 3D: $1000 scholarship. Applicants are to be those majoring in the fields of General, Art, 3D, Graphic Design, or related program fields. Deadline: June 1, 2015 Application:  Scholarship: $500 scholarship. Requirements for this scholarship include:  Apply  for multiple  scholarships, send confirmation of applications, and a short essay.

Delaware Tribe of Western Oklahoma Higher Education Grant Program:  Applicant must be certified Delaware tribal member and have financial need.

Deadline:  Fall-June 1, Spring-November 1


Delta Theta Chi Sorority Scholarship:  Female applicant must have high GPA majoring in Liberal Arts.

Deadline:  March 1 annually 


Derek Hughes/NAPSLO Educational Foundation:  Applicant must be majoring in Actuarial Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or Statistics.  Majors must be related to a career in insurance and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Deadline: June 1, annually


Distracted Driver Awareness Scholarship: This $1,000 scholarship is for any person in the United States seeking post-secondary education. Essay required of 2,000 words or less.

Deadline: November 25th 2015


Fern Brown Memorial Scholarship:  This scholarship program was created to provide financial assistance for the education of students who have demonstrated above average aptitude for college and university work and who, in the absence of aid from this scholarship, might be unable financially to pursue a college or university education.  Each senior college or university in Oklahoma may submit ONE applicant as their institution’s representative in the scholarship competition.

Deadline:  April 1, annually


Flosum Scholarship - $750 - 1 Award.  The applicants must be enrolled in an accredited 4-year university or college located in United States; Graduating high school seniors with a GPA of 3.5 or above are also eligible to apply for the scholarship; Applicants must be pursuing or intending to pursue their bachelor's degree which can be in the fields of computer engineering, computer science or in another technical discipline such as electrical engineering, physics or mathematics with an interest in the field of computer science.

 Folds of Honor Foundation: Provides post-secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our great nation. Deadline: January 1 - March 31, 2016 for the 2016-2017 academic year


General Electric LULAC Scholarships:  Applicant must be an incoming sophomore or above with a GPA of 3.25 or above and be majoring in Engineering or Business.  Student must be a minority.

Good360 Sustainability Scholarship - $1,000 - 1 Award . Student must write an essay on how sustainability has touched his/her life. Application is available for high school seniors applying to college and current undergraduate students in college with interest in sustainability and the environment.

Great Lakes Scholarships: If you have students majoring in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) disciplines, they may be eligible to receive $2,500 scholarships through the Great Lakes National Scholarship Program. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 and enrolled full time. Demonstrate financial need. Deadline: April 5, 2015 Application:

The Gridiron Foundation Scholarships:  Funding quality journalism scholarships is the sole reason why the OKC Gridiron Club exists.  The OKC Gridiron Club Foundation Journalism Scholarships provide much-needed financial assistance to Oklahoma's journalists of tomorrow. IGS Annual Clark Scholarship: $350 scholarship. IGS seeks to encourage students who have a particular interest in geology, gems, lapidary arts or gemology. Any student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at any time during calendar year 2015 at any accredited American college, university or trade school. Institute of Hope Scholarship:  This scholarship was developed to provide emergency funding to aid students who are caught in situations of prejudice, poverty or abuse. Applicants must be able to show financial need and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours. Students should be able to explain lack of access to traditional financial aid funding. Institute for Humane Studies: Graduate and Undergraduate awards available.  Student must be enrolled full-time.  Also, the institute offers a scholarship specifically for Master of Fine Arts students seeking a degree in filmmaking, fiction or literary nonfiction writing, or playwriting. Lexington Law - Lexington Law Scholarship Program:  $5,000 for two semesters. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Essay Required.

Lift Parts Express Scholarship: Available is one $500 scholarship. To be eligible, you must be a current senior in High School or a freshman or sophomore in College/University. Be a legal resident of the U.S. or Canada. Enrolled or expected to be enrolled by the Fall of 2016. Deadline: June 30, 2016 Application:

LM Scholarship Program: Available is one $1000 scholarship. Currently enrolled or expects to be enrolled in a degree program (2years of length or greater) by September. Additionally, to be eligible a student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and submit an answer to the essay question prior to the submission deadline. Deadline: May 31, 2016 Application:

Mean Stinks Scholarship:  $10,000 scholarship. Students must be 17 or older to enter, and winners will be chosen by a panel of sponsor-selected judges based on essay.

National Association of Hispanic Journalist:  Applicant must be majoring in Broadcast, Print or Photo-Journalism and be a student member of NAHJ with a Hispanic background.

National Hispanic Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees:  This scholarship is based on leadership and community involvement as well as financial need.  Applicant must be of Hispanic background and be an undergraduate or graduate student.

National Society of Accountants Scholarship Program:   Applicant must be a part-time or full-student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and majoring in Accounting.

Nursing Education Scholarship: offers scholarships for those who are applying to nursing or medical education programs or are currently pursuing education and employment in the fields of nursing and medicine.  Every six months, one applicant will be selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship to help with the costs associated with attending medical or nursing school.  Applicants must meet requirements as stated on application and should submit an essay between 500 and 1000 words discussing what they would like to accomplish in the medical field during their career.  One Winner will be selected on February 10th, 2015 and another on August 10th, 2015. OK-AHEAD:  Scholarships are available for applicants with disabilities.  The OK-AHEAD website lists its own scholarship as well as other disability scholarships. Deadline: November 1 to March 1 for the subsequent academic year.


OK College Start:  The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education administer several scholarships and grants to help you pay for college.

Out-Of-The-Box-Thinking Scholarship:- $1500 - 3 Awards  Applicants must be a current student at any high school, accredited university, graduate school or equivalent within the U.S.

Rogers Community Volunteer Scholarship: Available is one $500 scholarship. In order to be eligible you must be attending school on a full-time basis during the fall of 2014 and be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at any level. Additionally, you must have contributed a minimum of 10 hours of non-paid, volunteer service within your community during the last 12 months and have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or greater. Scholars for Excellence in Child Care:  Applicants must be a child care provider with an associates in child development/early childhood.  Must work in a one-star plus or above OKDHS or tribal-licensed child care center, have a 2.0 GPA…other requirements must also be met.

Scholarship Points - $10,000 - 10 Awards Students must be at least 13 years old and enrolled or will enroll in a college or university in the US and be a legal resident of the U.S. or Puerto Rico.

Scholarship Slam  $1,000 scholarship - 1 Award.  The basic requirements are this: (1) you are 25 years of age (or younger), and (2) you are a current or former high school student who will attend or is attending college within the U.S. or its territories. Poem entry must be submitted for eligibility.

Sedary & Associates Scholarship: Available is one $500 scholarship. To be eligible, you must be between the ages of 16-22 on the day of the application is due. Be enrolled in a college, university, trades, or technical school by no later than the Fall of 2016. Deadline: June 30, 2016 Application:

ShipDig Scholarship: $1000 scholarship. Incoming students and current students alike who are US citizens are eligible and urged to apply. Applicants will write a short 500-1000 word essay which will be judged on how well-written, compelling and persuasive they are. U.S. Bank Scholarship:  U.S Bank will be awarding forty $1,000 scholarships through random drawing process. Undergraduate students attending UCO are eligible to apply.

U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity:  Applicant must be a wife, husband, dependent children of current or former military service men or women.


Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award: Available is one $500 scholarship. Requirements include: Student must have completed a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer work in the past 2 years and must have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or greater over the past 2 years.
