- What are Central's admissions criteria?
Admissibility to UCO is based on both performance and curricular requirements as outlined:
High School GPA of 2.7 and ranked upper 50%
OR 20 ACT / 940 SAT
OR 2.7 GPA in the 15 unit high school core
*The GPA will be defined annually by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education to correspond to the rank in class.

- What materials do I need to be admitted?
Undergraduate admission to the University of Central Oklahoma is based in part on the student's residence status. Whether you are a first-time UCO student or a transfer student, some or all of the following documents are needed:
* An official high school transcript.
* ACT (or SAT) scores.
* An official college transcript.
* Completed the online Admission Application, which includes a $40.00 non-refundable application fee.

If you received the GED AND are under 21 years of age, you must submit a copy of your GED, an official copy of your high school transcript and you must take the ACT or SAT. Your admission is determined solely off of your college entrance exam scores. You must make at least a composite score of 20 on the ACT or a composite score of ($) on the SAT. If you are under the age of 21, there are no placement tests that can be taken instead of a college entrance exam or any other test whose scores can be substituted for college entrance exam scores.
Students who are over the age of 21, are GED recipients and have never previously taken any college coursework may be admitted as Adult students. Adult students must submit an official copy of their high school transcript AND a copy of their GED, and they MUST take Central's Adult Placement tests. Admissibility will be based on set scores determined acceptable by the Board of Regents and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
- I'm a high school senior who has not yet graduated. I don't meet any of the requirements for admission. What can I do?
If you have not yet graduated from high school, you may wait until you have completed all of your senior year coursework and submit another high school transcript. Our office will take a look at your unweighted, overall, final gpa and class rank and see if it has brought you to admissions standards. We can also perform another GPA calculation on your core courses to see if your final senior year grades have increased your core GPA. You may also take another entrance exam to see if you can achieve a composite score that meets Central's admissions standards. - I've already graduated and I don't meet any of the requirements for admission. What can I do?
If you have already graduated from high school and your final high school GPA and rank are below Central's admissions standards, you may either take another college entrance exam and achieve a composite score that grants you admission or you may petition the Committee on Undergraduate Admissions and Academic Retention to hear your case and make an admissions decision.
