First-Year Excellence Scholarship Program
We are pleased to offer annually our First-Year Excellence Scholarships to students that have completed UNIV 1012: Success Central. The next available scholarships will be offered to students that complete Success Central in fall 2012. The scholarships will be awarded for the fall 2013 term.
Once again this year, the First-Year Excellence Scholarship program includes three distinct scholarships:
- First-Year Excellence Scholarship (Three awarded) - This scholarship recognizes outstanding academic performance among the fall Success Central class. Financial need can also be a factor. This $500 scholarship is to be presented annually to three students.
- Civic Engagement Scholarship (One awarded) - This scholarship recognizes outstanding leadership and initiative in the area of civic engagement among the fall Success Central class. An additional essay is required to be considered for this scholarship.
Community Leadership Scholarship (One awarded) - This scholarship recognizes outstanding leadership among the Success Central students participating in UCO's Living and Learning Communities.
