Special Student Status

If you would just like to try out a few classes, applying as a special student might be an option for you. 

As a special student:

• You can take up to 9 credits
• You don't have to submit academic credentials or meet academic, curricular, or performance requirements
• You will need to reapply to be considered for full time student status
• You may enroll in classes that require prerequisite courses if an unofficial transcript is provided to articulation@uco.edu.

To apply as a special student, go to our online application, and when the form asks for what kind of student you'd like to be, choose "special student".
