Step 4: Don't Forget

Resources

  • Take a campus tour
  • Get your student ID card by visiting the I.D. office, Nigh University Center, Room 128.
  • Get your UCO Parking Decal; all vehicles parking on campus, other than in pay-to-park lots, must purchase an appropriate decal.
  • Consider living on campus (optional but strongly encouraged)
  • Apply for financial aid and scholarships
  • Log in to your UCONNECT account. This web portal will be your primary method for:
    • Enrolling
    • Checking your UCO email
    • Viewing a class schedule
    • Checking your grades
    • Paying for classes
    • Sign up for housing & dining options
    • Staying informed regarding important UCO news & updates
  • If you have any deficiencies in Math, English or Reading (scoring an 18 sub-score or below in any of these areas of the ACT test), you will need to speak to your academic advisor about remediating these deficiencies.
  • Buy your textbooks. Once you are enrolled, you are strongly recommended to purchase your books prior to the first day of class. You may purchase your books from the university bookstore (Nigh university Center, Room 210) or through book stores surrounding campus.
  • Learn more about getting involved on campus. Make plans to attend New Student/Broncho Orientation.
  • In addition to the orientation program, be sure to take advantage of all the helpful information available (oh, and FREE stuff too!) during Stampede Week.
  • Send in your AP, CLEP, IB or other credits by examination. To learn more about credit by extra institutional examination, review the current undergraduate catalog.
  • Send in your final high school transcripts. Although you may be admitted, UCO needs your final transcript indicating your graduation.
  • If you're looking for a part-time job, consider applying for an on-campus job. Student positions range all over campus, and most offices/departments may offer more flexibility to your work schedule than an off-campus job.
  • If you require special needs and/or accommodations to meet any disability, contact the Office of Disability Support Services.
