Online Application for Admission

All first-time applicants, applicants for a previous term who never enrolled, students who have been out for a year or longer, or anyone who has been suspended and reinstated after sitting out the required time will be charged a non-refundable, non-transferable, $40.00 application fee with the Application for Admission. This fee must be paid before an application will be processed; any unpaid applications will be treated as incomplete and not processed until payment is received.

If you are a US citizen but were born outside of the United States you are required to provide proof of US citizenship (US passport, Consular Birth Certificate, Permanent Resident Card).

Application Types

First-Time Freshman Undergraduate- Students who are applying from high school or from a GED program and are under the age of 21 with no college credit and students who have only taken concurrent college classes while in high school should apply as a Undergraduate First-Time Freshman.
Requirements: 

1.)  20 composite ACT score  or 940 Reading and Math combined SAT score (Juniors and Seniors)  OR
2.)  2.7 non-weighted, cumulative GPA and a class ranking in the upper 50% of your graduating class (Fall Semester Senior Year or Final Transcript) OR
3.)  2.7 non-weighted GPA in the 15 unit high school core curriculum (Final Transcript).
4.) First Time Freshman from an unaccredited high school (regional accreditation only) or Home School will have admissions based on ACT/SAT score only.
 
Transfer Undergraduate - Students who are transferring credit from another higher education institution will apply as transfer undergraduate.
Requirements:

1.) 0-30 hours must have a minimum 1.7 cumulative GPA OR
2.) 31 hours or more must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA OR
3.) All transfer students with less than 24 credit hours must also meet high school admission requirements listed above.
4.) Out of state transfer students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA

Adult Student - Students over 21 with less than 6 college hours will apply as a transfer student if transferring credits or as a freshman if not.
Requirements: 

1.) Official high school transcript or GED AND
2.) Must take placement tests and score a 77 or higher in English, 75 or higher in Reading, 35 or higher in Math.

Special Student/ Undergraduate - Students who intend on taking 9 hours or less total at UCO will apply as a Special Student. Once a student completes 9 credit hours at UCO, they must re-apply as a Re-Admit Student with Transfer Credit. If pre-requisites are required for the desired course(s), student must submit a transcript from the college or university at which the pre-requisite course was completed as proof of sufficiency.  Special Student admissions are not eligible for Financial Aid.

Requirements: Students are only permitted to complete 9 hours or less at UCO. If enrollment is more than 9 hours, apply as a Re-Admit Student with Transfer Credit.
 
Undergraduate Readmit to UCO - Any student who has previously attended the University of Central Oklahoma; including students who may be transferring back to UCO will apply as Undergraduate Readmit Students. Students who have only taken concurrent classes at UCO while in high school should apply as an Undergraduate First-Time Freshman if no other collegiate work has been completed or an Undergraduate Transfer Student if the student has attended another University in the interim period.

International Graduate - Students who have completed a baccalaureate degree at an international institution and desire entrance into the Master's Degree program at UCO will apply as an International Graduate student.

Masters- First Time/Readmit -Students who have completed a baccalaureate degree and are seeking to begin or continue a Master's Degree at UCO will apply as a Masters - First Time/Readmit student. Students who have graduate credit from another higher education institution should apply as Masters Degree Transfer.

Scholarships

To apply for academic and leadership scholarships at UCO, complete the entire admissions application. The scholarship deadline is February 1, 2012 for incoming freshmen and November 1, 2011 or April 1, 2012 for incoming transfer students.
