Welcome to the University of Central Oklahoma Department of Nursing!   We are excited to have you here!

The first nursing class from the nursing department at the University of Central Oklahoma graduated in 1972.  Since that time we have sent over 3000 well qualified RNs into the nursing work force!  Graduates of our program are well known for being some of the best nurses in the state of Oklahoma and around the nation and we are proud to continue this tradition.

coynerThe core of our program is the traditional four year Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  We also have a career ladder program for RNs who want to complete their Bachelor's degree as well as for LPNs who want to obtain their Bachelor of Science degree in order to sit for the RN nursing licensure exam.

Beginning in the Spring of 2013, the Department of Nursing at the University of Central Oklahoma began offering a Master of Science in Nursing.  For more information or for application forms, check out the Master's Degree in Nursing page.

We hope that if you are looking to begin your nursing career, or if you are wanting to continue your nursing career with a BS, you will strongly consider the University of Central Oklahoma's Nursing Department.

For more information about our program check out the Future Students page.

Attention May 2014 Graduates: Your opinion is needed!

The UCO Nursing Program needs your feedback. We use this information in planning curriculum design and course content. This brief survey will ask how well the nursing program prepared you for practice as a registered nurse. You will also have the opportunity to enter your contact information to win a Fitbit Wireless Activity Tracker.  One person will win, it could be you! Be assured that your contact information will only be used for delivery of the prize and will in no way be traced back to you or your survey responses.
