UCO Jazz Students To Perform At Martini Lounge Throughout September

Sept. 7, 2012

The Martini Lounge, located at 505 S. Broadway in Edmond will feature University of Central Oklahoma jazz students and faculty performing Thursday evenings as a part of its first-ever September Jazz Series.

Performances will take place from 6 to 7:15 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

Performers include saxophonist Jared Cathey and drummer Bill Repavich, along with Central music faculty member Michael Geib on bass. The group will perform a series of jazz standards.

The Martini Lounge will offer complimentary appetizers and a special drink called the “Jazz-tini.” With each “Jazz-tini” sold, $1 will be donated to the UCO Jazz Studies division.

“We welcome the opportunity to join forces with UCO.  The talent of artists that play at the UCO Jazz Lab and the students is truly exceptional,” said Margaret Holloway, general manager of Boulevard Steakhouse/Martini Lounge.

“We are lucky to have UCO so close as most of our employees are students and we welcome the opportunity to support them in any way that we can,” she continued.
