The University of Central Oklahoma School of Music will present an opera showcase titled, "Opera Scenes: An Evening of Love" at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 9 - 11 at the UCO Jazz Lab.
The showcase will feature Central opera students performing a series of opera scenes that revolve around the concept of love. Featured compositions include works by Mozart, Offenbach and Puccini, among other famous composers.
"Love can come in many forms and in this year's opera scenes we explore how the concept of love can manifest itself," said Kevin Eckard, D.M.A., director of the UCO Opera Division.
"The music is delightful and people will experience several operas in one short evening - it will be a wonderful evening for people who love opera and for those who have never been to one before," he continued.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door with cash or check. No credit cards will be accepted.
