The Oklahoma Center for Arts Education (OCAE), a division of the University of Central Oklahoma College of Fine Arts and Design, has opened registration for 16 summer camps and workshops to be held during June and July.

Among the offerings this year are a variety of music and dance workshops, three different sessions of week-long drama camps for children ages 7-12 featuring "Jungle Book Kids," "Music Man, Jr." and "Aladdin, Jr.," and highly specialized camps in interior design and graphic design.

"We are offering an unprecedented number of camps this year for all ages including a third week of our popular drama camp and a drama workshop specifically for high school students," said Ines Burnham, program manager for OCAE.

"In addition, our design camps offer a rare opportunity for high school juniors, seniors and incoming college freshmen considering either graphic design or interior design as a career choice to work on challenging projects with UCO design professors and interact with design professionals."

The camps range in price from $80 to $200 and some camps require an audition for placement before participation is allowed. An early bird discount of $25 is available for some camps if registration is completed by April 30.
