Spring Auditions Set for SummerStock Musicals

Auditions for two musicals to be performed by Summerstock Productions will begin April 10 at the School of Music building, Room 104, at the University of Central Oklahoma.
The auditions, open to area actors of all ages, are for roles in "Oliver!" and "All Shook Up." Both full-scale musicals will be performed this summer at Mitch Park amphitheater in Edmond and will mark the first season Summerstock Productions has worked in partnership with the University of Central Oklahoma.
"Oliver!" auditions for young actors, ages 7-13, will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 10. Both girls and boys will be considered for all roles, except for the Artful Dodger. Girls, however, may be asked to cut their hair or provide a boyish wig.
Adults and teens, ages 14 and up, may audition for both musicals beginning at 2 p.m.
Audition requirements, including April 11 callback information, are available at www.summerstockok.com or by e-mailing Billie Thrash, Summerstock artistic director, at info@summerstockok.com.
Volunteers are also needed to help facilitate auditions and to help in various capacities with both productions this summer. To volunteer, contact Greg White, Summerstock board members and UCO music faculty member, at gwhite10@uco.edu.
