The University of Central Oklahoma Department of Dance will present its annual Summer Dance Workshop, featuring choreography by UCO dance faculty, and visiting professional guest artists from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 14-18 on the UCO Campus.

This workshop includes intensive training in ballet, modern, jazz and hip-hop dance styles, and dancers must have at least a year of dance training to participate.

Three tracks are available: ages 10-13, 14-17 and College/Adult. The College/Adult track features guest artists, including ballet teacher Richard Isaac, jazz teacher Lauren Thompson and floor barre instructor Cynthia Bond Perry.

The workshop will culminate with an informal performance by the guest artists and students at 5 p.m., June 18 in Mitchell Hall Theater. A reception, sponsored by the Oklahoma Center for Arts Education will follow the performance.
