University of Central Oklahoma graphic design seniors hope to gain the attention of potential employers when they display their portfolios in an exhibition titled, "Design Harmony, 11 New Designers Searching for a Match" which opens from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, April 29 at City Arts Center, 3000 General Pershing Boulevard in Oklahoma City.
The exhibit title is a take-off on the name of the popular dating website eHarmony where individuals input personal information in hopes of finding a match.
"Instead of looking for a date, these designers are looking for jobs, showcasing their talents with a flair that is characteristic of their tremendous creativity and depth," said UCO Design Department Chair Larry Hefner.
"We really hope that potential employers will view this exhibit, and discover that these Central design students can be the perfect match."
All 11 students were provided with a wall to display work, which includes package design, corporate identity projects, print illustrations and magazine design.
City Arts Center hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday. The exhibition will run through May 22.
