College of Fine Arts and Design

Welcome to the College Fine Arts and Design Development. This is the office where we make student dreams a reality.  Each year donors help us raise and give away over $60,000 in scholarships to academically deserving and financially needy students. 

We also help students go to competitions and special performances that showcase their talent.  Past trips include the Wind Symphony performance at Carnegie Hall, the Choir trip to Italy, the Theatre and Dance competition trip to the Kennedy Center where they won numerous awards and the Design trip to Bartlesville to view the work of Frank Lloyd Wright.  We are currently raising money for our Jazz students to attend and perform at the Jazz in June competition in France.  Our students are out and about representing UCO and our state well. 

Scholarships and travel are an obvious benefit for students but did you know donations also helped augment the improvements at Mitchell Hall and helped purchased new acquisitions for our galleries?  We also hold fun events like "High Tea" and "Toast to the Maestro." Development funds also bring guests artists in for our students and the public.  Past guests include Wynton Marsalis, Sherrill Milnes and Donna McKecknie.

Every dollar raised goes to benefit a student either directly or indirectly.  From scholarships to classroom equipment you can be assured that your gift is stewarded properly and that our students greatly appreciate your support.  I invite you to read some of the thank you notes we receive from students in the scholarship section of this website.
