Did You Know?
The job prospects for graduates of our programs remain strong. A recent survey by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) indicates that the national demand over the coming year and beyond for occupational safety and health services will significantly surpass the number of men and women with the necessary training, education and experience. Although employers plan to hire at least 25,000 occupational safety and health professionals over the next five years, only about 12,000 new graduates are expected to be available from the academic programs that provide the national pool of expertise.
Dear College of Education & Professional Studies Scholarship Applicant,
Below is the College of Education & Professional Studies scholarship application and information for the 2014-2015 academic year. The application is due no later than 5:00 pm on February 7, 2014 in the dean’s office, EDU 213.
Only complete application packets will be eligible for review.
** Before you get started with your application, please review the scholarship notebook to determine which scholarships you qualify for. You must submit a complete application packet for each department scholarships you want to be considered for. You will use the coversheet to identify which scholarships you would like to be considered for.
Each individual department scholarship application packet must include copies of its own coversheet, application form, current transcript, personal statement, and any additional application components. Faculty reference/support forms (if required to eligible for scholarship) must be turned into the dean’s office by the faculty members themselves on or before the application deadline date. It is your job, however, to give them the form.
Please visit the College of Education & Professional Studies website during the semester to view and apply for scholarships that are established after timing of this printed copy.
Thank you for taking the time and diligence to ensure that you will be considered for the scholarships you are applying by checking all submitted materials for completion and quality. Know that you are a valued member of the College of Education & Professional Studies Family and we wish you the best as you apply for the scholarship funds available!
