College of Education and Professional Studies

Scholarships

Thank you for your interest in scholarship opportunities through the College of Education and Professional Studies. Scholarships are funds that are awarded to students to help them with the costs of their education, and scholarships do not have to be repaid. A student may receive a scholarship because of academic merits, financial need, or for other criteria set forth by scholarship donors.

UCO will consider students for several scholarships at the time of admission (freshman and transfer students). These automatic scholarships are awarded on the academic merits on which a student was admitted to the University through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Additionally, students may apply for competitive scholarships to help pay their education costs.

Unfortunately, the general scholarship application period for the 2015-2016 academic year is now closed. Please see below for specific scholarship opportunities that are still available.

Departmental Tuition Waivers

Some academic departments award students with tuition waivers. Students should contact their department to inquire about tuition waiver opportunities for their major. Because an additional application may be required for these waivers, students should inquire with their departments as early as possible.
