2013 CEPS Digital Central Academy Application Form
(formally CEPS iPad Academy)

Have you heard about the amazing things that faculty are doing with the iPad both in and out of the classroom? Are you ready and willing to use the iPad in your teaching and other faculty duties, but need assistance with getting started?


Selected participants will receive an iPad (4th generation) and classroom integration accessories, as well as experience an intense and exciting 3-day workshop that will prepare them to effectively integrate the iPad into teaching and other faculty work.

Workshop Dates

  • Friday, 9/6 - 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday, 9/7 - 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Friday, 9/13 - 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

*Note: The academy is limited to full-time CEPS faculty/staff with instructional responsibilities

Application Review

All applications will be reviewed by a faculty/staff committee. Applicants must be approved by their department chair. Applications will be scored according to overall quality as well as level of creativity and innovation in regards to:

  • facilitating instructional goals with the iPad,
  • using the Pad to support research/service activities, and
  • using the iPad to increase productivity.

Participation is limited to full-time CEPS faculty/staff with instructional responsibilities and all participants must commit to all three days of the academy.

Applications are due by 5:00pm on Monday August 26, 2013. Selected participants will be notified by email on August 28, 2013.



Confirm the following to indicate your agreement to the following requirements of the 2013 CEPS Digital Central Academy program:

  • Fully participate in the 3-day iPad Academy workshop.
  • Develop a plan for integrating the iPad into at least one Spring 2014 course and other faculty duties.
  • Attend iPad Academy follow-up sessions (at least 2) during the Fall 2013 or Spring 2014 semester.
  • Be willing to share iPad integration experiences and ideas with the CEPS community (especially departmental colleagues) through appropriate venues.
  • Participate in college-level research surveys.
