Michelle is no stranger to the UCO community. While working in the Office of Student Financial Services, Michelle received her BFA in studio art and a master’s in education with an emphasis in art from Central. In 2007, Michelle received an award from African American Faculty Staff Association for her role in the completion of the African American mural in the Nigh University Center. Upon completion of her graduate degree, Michelle received a one-year post graduate fellowship and spent a year at the Saint Louis Art Museum as a Romare Bearden Graduate Minority Fellow. There she gained experience in development, curatorial, education and public programming. After her term ended, Michelle worked as the Museum Educator at the Tampa Museum of Art in Florida where she oversaw all education and public programming for the museum. Michelle and her husband returned to Oklahoma in 2012. She has been working in development full-time for the Oklahoma Arts Institute and the Edmond Historical Society before joining CEPS as the Development Manager.
