Susan Miller, Ed.D is a Professor of Fashion Marketing in the Department of Human Environmental Sciences (HES) at the University of Central Oklahoma. Before coming to Central, she taught Retail Merchandising in the Family and Consumer Sciences Department at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma for 13 years. Dr. Miller primarily teaches courses for fashion marketing majors, which includes Fashion Advertising and Promotion, Fashion Buying and Analysis, Apparel Entrepreneurship, Creative Problem Solving, and Global Protocol and Diversity. In addition she coordinates study tours to New York and Dallas, as well as, conducts seminars in Business and Professional Etiquette. She is the co-advisor of Fashion Troupe and Phi Upsilon Omicron, and serves the University through membership on a variety of committees in her department, college and university-wide. She is a 20 year member of the American & Oklahoma Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS/OAFCS) and is currently the Vice-President of OAFCS. She is also the Regional Councilor on the Phi Upsilon Omicron Honor Society National Council.
- Susan Miller (2010). Teaching with Technology: A Learner-Focused Tool. The purpose of this evaluative study was to describe the adoption of distance learning technology in the adult classroom by teachers who have been trained in state funded programs. The main concern was to explore how teachers were trained to use the technology through professional development opportunities and to investigate diffusion and adoption throughout the process.
