General Information

Professor Endicott joined the Department of Educational Sciences, Foundations & Research in 1998 as an instructor. She currently teaches courses in history, philosophy, and sociology of education in the Secondary Education masters program and Foundations of American Education and Child Psychology in the undergraduate Professional Sequence for Oklahoma certification. Beginning in 2001, she created and coordinated multiple service learning experiences through which data has been collected regarding student perceptions of service learning activities as enhancing learning in a university level course. She has and continues to develop integrated service learning projects within courses.

She has served the department as Curriculum Coordinator for the Professional Sequence and chaired multiple department committees. The department service has included program reviews, faculty reviews, scholarships, curriculum reports, and policy development. In addition, she has served the college and university through task forces and committees specializing in policies, procedures, and program review.

Dr. Endicott has been active in the following professional organizations, with leadership roles at the state, regional and national levels: Society of History and Philosophy of Education, Society of Professors of Education,, Philosophy of Education Society, American Educational Research Association, Rocky Mountain Educational Research, Phi Delta Kappa, Kappa Delta Pi, Oklahoma Association of Teacher Educators and Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

Research interests have focused on service learning and practitioner perceptions for needed teacher competencies in the classroom and social justice. Dr. Endicott has published articles and presentations at the state, regional, national and international levels. Professor Endicott has served as editor and continues to serve on the review board of the Oklahoma Teacher Education Association Journal. In addition, she is on the review board of the Society of History and Philosophy Journal and the advisory board of Annual Editions, Education.
