Dr. Lori Beasley has been working at the University of Central Oklahoma for over twenty years. Currently she is the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs, where she assists in faculty hiring, commencement events and has many other responsibilities that support faculty and students. She began her career as Director of the Child Study Center, where her interest in training teachers grew. Dr. Beasley is a Professor of Family and Child Development has taught and influenced countless parents, teachers, and social workers with her expertise in dealing with difficult family matters. Dr. Beasley has been active in national, state, and community activities and has been honored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, Oklahoma Council on Family Relations and the Oklahoma Early Childhood Association.
Even though Dr. Beasley has received many accolades and awards throughout her career, she is most proud of his family. Her husband, Dr. Stewart Beasley is an Edmond Psychologist and Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center. Daughter Emory is a graduate of UCO and is a teacher in Edmond. Her youngest son Evan is pursuing a career in photography. Her oldest son Trey is a financial analyst residing in Denver.
