UCO Psychology Clinic

The counseling clinic consists of master's level graduate students who are training for their licensure in professional counseling. The University of Central Oklahoma's Psychology Clinic offers counseling services for a wide variety of problems.  Not every problem is the same, so the clinicians at the UCO Psychology Clinic don't treat them that way.  The clinicians at the UCO Psychology Clinic use empirically validated protocols to administer the most current and effective treatments.

The staff at the UCO Psychology Clinic are prepared to offer services for such problems as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, work and stress management, and much more.  These treatments are evidenced based, meaning that they have empirical backing.  To learn more about evidence based practice, please click here. The UCO Psychology Clinic's staff has been prepared to work with many problems at all ages.  Staff at the UCO Psychology Clinic have worked with children and adolescents, college students, and older.

Annual semester groups are also offered through the clinic. The UCO Psychology Clinic's Success Groups are 8-week psycho-education and process groups that are offered each Spring and Fall semester for currently registered UCO students. The Success Groups offer techniques for students that facilitate social skill development and address emotional issues that may get in the way of success in college. The group covers many topics such as anxiety, depression, assertiveness, and communication skills. It also addresses matters such as time management and test anxiety, when needed. During each meeting, Success Group members learn new skills, practice them, and get support and assistance from each other as they discuss concerns that are affecting their lives. The groups are co-facilitated by graduate level students in the Counseling Psychology Master’s Program. These students are supervised by licensed psychologists. If interested, please fill out the referral form in the Referral Form section.
