Adult Freshman Admissions

If under 21 Freshman apply online at http://www.uco.edu/em/apply/freshman.asp.

 Degree-seeking applicants without college credit or whose only college credit was received prior to high school graduation.

  1. Apply online at http://www.uco.edu/em/apply/adult.asp.
  2. A nonexpendable processing fee.
  3. Send your official high school, military, and college transcripts to University of Central University.
  4. Placement tests with scores of 77 or higher in English, 75 or higher in Reading, and 75 or higher in Math. To arrange placement tests, contact the First Year Experience Office at www.uco.edu/fye or 405-974-5390.

Transfer Admissions

0-30 hours must have a minimum 1.7 cumulative GPA or 31 hours or more must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA or all transfer students with less than 24 credit hours must also meet freshman admission requirements. Out of state transfer students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

  3. Send your official high school, military, and college transcripts to University of Central Oklahoma.

Readmission After Deployment

If the service member was a current student at the time of deployment, Stephanie Kahne, Director Undergraduate Admissions, will need to verify their student status. To be eligible for Priority enrollment, the student must have been enrolled at the time they received their mobilization orders. They will need to furnish Stephanie Kahne with their orders and once she has confirmed their status, they may be eligible to enroll on the date established for their number of earned hours.

  1. The service member will need to furnish her with a copy of their Activation Orders and their DD214.
  2. After Ms. Kahne verifies, student will need to reapply online, and instead of paying the fee, they will exit out, email her at skahne@uco.edu and she will manually process their application and waive the application fee.
  3. Apply online at http://www.uco.edu/em/apply/readmit.asp.
  4. Send your military and college transcripts to University of Central Oklahoma.

Graduate Admissions

Students seeking admission to a graduate program are encouraged to contact their specific department of interest for information concerning application requirements and deadlines. Admission decisions are based on the entire record of the applicant and availability of departmental resources.
