About the Strategic Planning Process

The University of Central Oklahoma strategic planning process is a campus wide effort to create a comprehensive strategic plan for the university. This plan will guide the university for the next seven years. The plan will be created by faculty, staff, and administration via the President’s Council and University Planning Group, along with counsel, input, and participation by any interested party. The President’s Council and University Planning Group operate under the direction of the President’s Cabinet and include broad representation from across campus.

Four Strategic Directions teams have been appointed to recommend operational plans to realize Vision 2020. The outcomes of their work will be posted on this web site as it is approved by the President's Council, the Cabinet, and President Betz.
