ASC Coordinator

Leigh Smith is the Coordinator of the Writing Center.  She is a graduate of UCO having received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations with a minor in Sociology in 1983 and Master of Education with an emphasis on Sociology in 1997.  She also holds a Masters of Arts in Communication from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.  Leigh has an established career in higher education.  She has worked for Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma Junior College in Oklahoma City and Redlands Community College in El Reno before coming to UCO in May of 1999.  She has served as both an instructor and an administrator at these various institutions.  She enjoys interacting with students and encouraging student success.  Leigh likes to have fun and believes learning should be fun.  Other things Leigh likes to do for fun are: read, shop for antiques and/or collectibles watch movies, write, and ride her Sea Doo.  She also likes board games especially trivia games.
