Permit or Payment Required
All vehicles, including vehicles displaying state issued physical disability tags and motorcycles, parking on campus must purchase an appropriate permit from Transportation and Parking Services (TPS), or park in a pay-to-park lot. Parking permits are purchased online and are valid per academic year (August 1-July 31). Individuals must know their vehicle information (make, model, year, color, and plate) in order to purchase a permit.
Students must register their vehicles by the first day of class. Faculty/staff must register their vehicles upon reporting to work.
Permit Pick Up
Once purchased online, current annual permits are immediately available for pick up - during regular business hours - at the Transportation and Parking Services (TPS) office, Nigh University Center 309A. A valid UCO or state issued picture ID is required to pick up a permit, and must match the name of the permit holder. Individuals unable to pick up their permit during regular business hours should contact TPS at 405-974-2780 or firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange after-hours pick up. To authorize someone else to pick up your permit, please e-mail email@example.com from your UCO e-mail with your name, the individual's full name, and that you authorize them to pick up your permit.
Permits must be clearly and properly displayed on vehicles on campus. Proper display for each permit type is outlined below.
Adhesive Annual Permits (Commuter, Housing, Faculty/Staff, Special Use, Emeritus, Presidential Partner)
Adhesive "regular vehicle" (i.e. non-motorcycle) permits must be applied to the lower, driver's side of the windshield on the inside of the glass. The permit must be clearly visible in its entirety from the outside of the vehicle. These permits are not permanent, and are specifically designed to be easily moved from vehicle to vehicle without losing adhesive ability. If your permit does not adhere properly you can exchange it at no cost at the TPS office. Permits are not to be taped to the windshield or left on the dash. These permits are not valid on motorcycles.
Hang-Tag Permits (Carpool, One-Day Visitor, Temporary, Emeritus)
Hang tag permits are to be hung from the vehicle's rearview mirror, with the permit type, dates valid, etc. displayed towards the windshield. The permit must be clearly visible in its entirety from the outside of the vehicle. Permits are not to be left on the dash.
Motorcycle permits must be placed in plain sight on the motorcycle. TPS recommends placement on the fork, or on a tag holder that can be secured to the motorcycle. Motorcycle permits are permanent and cannot be moved to another motorcycle or vehicle.
Oversized vehicles (i.e. dualie pickup, etc.) may only park in Lot 1, regardless of the registered owner's parking permit type. Failure to park in Lot 1 will result in citations issued to the owner of the permit.
