UCO Emergency Management

UCO was the first university in the state of Oklahoma to hire a full-time emergency management coordinator to handle emergency management issues on campus.  UCO is also the only university in the state of Oklahoma to have its Disaster Resistant University (DRU) grant approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  A DRU is a hazard mitigation plan that allows approved universities to apply for grants in order to meet the goals set forth by the DRU. 

UCO Emergency Management Unit

The UCO Emergency Management Unit is made up of the Emergency Management Coordinator and the Executive Director of Safety and Transportation Services with support from other elements of Safety and Transportation Services.  UCO Emergency Management is here to provide emergency preparedness training and guidance to the UCO campus.
