Great Colleges 2014
Recognized for Professional Development/ Career Development programs for the fourth year in a row!
The Professional Development department serves the UCO faculty, staff and students by providing programs that are designed to increase knowledge and enhance performance which benefits professional and personal growth, and organizational success.
We support the university in achieving its mission by providing transformative learning and development experiences to UCO employees so that they, like our students, may become productive, creative, ethical and engaged citizens and leaders serving our global community.
Who is Professional Development For?
The Individual – Whether you are a faculty or staff employee, full-time or part-time, an administrator, manager/supervisor, team leader, support professional or a student employee; a personal commitment to your own professional development is a vital part of your continued success. The knowledge and skills you gain by participating in Professional Development department sessions and programs can reach beyond your current position here at UCO on out into your personal life and into the community.
The Department – Employee growth is essential to maintaining the quality, productivity and morale of a department. Professional Development partners with many departments across campus to develop and tailor departmental training sessions and events to meet their unique needs. Don’t spend lots of employee work hours trying to “reinvent the wheel” when we may already have the information and tools you need. We can provide your department with on and off campus training specialists, location options, and assist you with developing online training. Please visit our website and complete the Request for Departmental Training and Assistance form or email us at Prodev@uco.edu.
