Each employee's needs are different. UCO offers two options for BlueCross BlueShield medical plans to meet those needs, and provide flexibility to employees and their families. As a benefit, the University pays the medical premium for all full-time employees, coverage is available for family members. Dental insurance is available through BlueCross BlueShield and vision insurance is available through Vision Service Plan (VSP). For information about the insurance plans, click on the links to the left.
To enroll in the insurance, please complete the Insurance Enrollment Form with your choices. If adding dependents to your insurance, complete the lower portion of the enrollment form with their information. Note: dependents can only be enrolled in the same plan(s) that the employee is enrolled in.

Other than the annual open enrollment period, an employee may not make changes to insurance coverage during the year, unless there is a qualifying event or a change in family status, such as:
Loss or gain of coverage through your spouse
Loss of eligibility of covered dependent
Birth, adoption, death, marriage, divorce, or legal separation
You have 30 days from a qualifying event to make adjustments to your current coverage.
If you have a qualifying event, fill out the Insurance Enrollment Form and submit it with the documentation showing the date of the change to the HR Benefits office, within the 30 days.
