Housing and Dining:Global Learning Communities

Global Learning Communities

The Global Learning Community helps incoming first-year students succeed who would like a tight-knit community to support them in exploring the UCO campus, various international cultures, and study abroad opportunities. 16- 24 qualified first-year students will be admitted to join this community. Participants will be provided with an incredible opportunity to tap into some of UCO's best faculty and tutoring resources.  Students take three classes together during the academic year, live on the same residential floor, and receive supplemental tutoring and instruction.  Each learning community has a Peer Mentor, an upper class student, who resides on the hall, serves as a role model and mentors students throughout the first year experience.

Are you interested in exploring other cultures?

Would you like to enhance your multicultural and leadership skills?

Are you interested in participating in a Spring Break trip to London in March?

Would you like to be a part of a supportive community for first-year students?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, the Global Learning Community may be a good fit for you!
