All interoffice mail (department to department mail) collected on mail runs will normally be delivered to the appropriate campus address the following working day.
All interoffice mail should include the following in the address:
We accept interoffice mail in almost any form. When using an envelope for mailing interoffice mail, we do ask that you do not put it in stationery envelopes that intended for outing mail. This can lead to misidentification and unnecessary postage charges. Interoffice envelopes can be purchased at Print Central located in room 146 of the Nigh University Center. Please be sure that any previous addresses have been marked out to avoid errors in delivery.
When sending mailings to the entire campus, please rubber band all like box numbers together. This will assist us in a speedy and accurate distribution of your mail.
EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2016 ALL OUTGOING MAIL TO BE STAMPED MUST HAVE AN OUTGOING MAIL PERMIT ATTACHED TO BE PICKED UP.
Outbound mail (except bulk business mail) is collected on mail runs and dropped off at the office of RK Black Print Central (NUC 146). It will be metered and will leave campus at 3:45pm that same day.
If you plan on mailing large amounts (thousands) in the late afternoon, they will be processed the following working day. For large mailings we do loan out mail trays in notified in advance.
The following types of mail should be separated, grouped, and rubber banded together:
RK Black Print Central's mail processing equipment will seal the letters automatically. Please present your envelopes with the flaps down. However, if you are mailing in larger envelopes (called flats), bulk business mail, or letters in odd shaped envelopes, you will need to seal them before sending them. Please do not use envelopes with clasps as they can damage postal equipment. Double post cards must be taped or tabbed shut.
