Tutoring Central at the University of Central Oklahoma

Tutoring Central: your centralized tutoring information center for UCO students.

Tutoring Central, or the "TC," now has two locations to better offer assistance to students. The first is located in the northeast corner of West Hall, across from Buddy's Cafeteria (find us), and the second is located in room W 112 of the new Quad.  Both locations offer UCO students one-on-one, scheduled tutoring in writing for all subjects and at all levels and lower-level math, biology, and chemistry.

The TC also supplies information concerning all tutoring services and academic support programs on campus and serves as home base for the UCO Supplemental Instruction Program and Conversation Central.

We can be reached by phone, 405-974-2487, or email, tc@uco.edu.

The TC English and Writing Lab

The TC English and Writing Lab is dedicated to helping students improve the quality of their academic writing in all university classes. Its tutors can help students improve their writing, organizational and vocabulary skills and build their overall confidence in their writing abilities.

TC Math Tutoring

Tutoring Central provides tutoring for students in mathematics classes up to and including College Algebra.  Students needing assistance with math courses beyond College Algebra such as calculus, trigonometry etc. should seek help in the math lab in room 100 of the Math and Computer Science Building.

TC Science Tutoring

Tutoring Central provides interactive tutoring in both chemistry and biology.  The chemistry courses includes introductory chemistry, chemistry & society, general chemistry I and II. Biology students have the opportunity to be tutored in biology for non-majors, general biology I and II. The tutors work to make the subject material easier for students by showing the simplest method to understand the assignments or class notes.
