Student Support Services: Mentoring

At Student Support Services, support comes from everywhere. We provide you opportunities to build relationships that support your college career in three ways: peer mentoring, faculty mentoring, and community mentoring.

SSS group volunteering at the Endeavor Games

Peer Mentor

The peer mentor group focuses on participants entering their first and second year in the SSS program for acclimation purposes. Upon entrance into SSS, each student is assigned a mentor that has participated in the program and campus activities. This allows the participant to become familiar with our services and other services on campus.

Faculty Mentor

The faculty mentor group focuses on participants with 60+ credit hours who indicate interest in academic areas for future employment, recommendations, and undergraduate research.

Community Mentor

The community mentor group is based on the the career inventory. Juniors and seniors interested in internships and career preparation are encouraged to apply.
