Nothing more effectively demonstrates the value of undergraduate research than the words and stories of the student participants themselves. Each spring, the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) hosts its annual undergraduate poster session on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. This event helps members of Congress understand the importance of undergraduate research by talking directly with the students whom these programs impact.

Since 1996, the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) has hosted an annual undergraduate poster session on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. This event in intended to help members of Congress understand the importance of undergraduate research by talking directly with the students whom these programs impact.
Since 1999, students from UCO have been invited to participate in the event every year except three. This is very impressive because there are only 60 participants selected each year from institutions of higher education throughout the United States.
