    Stipends are available for the following underrepresented groups:

    • Pacific Islander (Filipino)

    Eligible Majors:

    • Basic Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics; no health-related majors)
    • Computer Sciences
    • Mathematics and Statistics (including Math Education)
    • Engineering
    • Management Information Systems

    OK-LSAMP stipends are funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation to encourage minority careers in the sciences and mathematics. UCO is one of 27 Universities and Colleges within the State of Oklahoma participating in the program.  Renewed at five-year intervals with proven success, this grant to UCO is helping to raise the graduation rate of selected underrepresented groups in the basic sciences.
